Only Certain Models

Toaster Central offers a repair service for certain models of vintage waffle irons and toasters.

The examples shown in the photographs are worst case examples and costs for such items would likely be above $150.00.
A peek under the chrome case.

Cost ranges $95 to $150

The cost for rebuilding a typical waffle iron or toaster in average condition ranges from $95 to $150 plus shipping, and depends on parts needed and actual labor involved. It is infrequent that the cost will be less than $95

Hint: To give you some idea of possible repair costs please look at the prices of our items for sale. Approximately 85% of the price is the cost of refurbishing plus a very modest profit margin. The remaining 15% is the cost of obtaining good clean, low mileage rebuildable units. Because we rebuild only low mileage units, our repair costs remain realistic and the end result is a piece that is not only safe and reliable but one that is first rate cosmetically.

Is my appliance worth restoring?

If you would like a repair estimate for your waffle iron or toaster, please send an e mail
and include a description of any damage and what does or does not work.

For toasters, send the make and model number and a picture.

For waffle irons please send three pictures:
  • one with the lid open,
  • one with the lid closed,
  • and one showing the entire bottom of the waffle iron including the feet.

We will reply with a description of the work and our estimate.

The current turnaround time is two to three weeks.

    Examples

If we are presented with a very dirty or worn piece like the examples pictured, repair time skyrockets and cost often becomes unrealistically high. If you are considering having such a piece serviced it will probably make more economic sense to purchase one of our remanufactured units.

    Do-It-Yourself

We do not encourage most do-it-yourselfers to renovate their own appliances. However, some individuals are both qualified and inclined to tackle their own service.

We won't give away our trade secrets, but we will sell you the proper high temperature appliance wire that we use in our waffle irons and is absolutely necessary to safely service any heat- generating appliances. Please e-mail with the particulars of your repair and we will advise as to what you may need and the cost.

We can also supply cord sets for most appliances.
